About Me...
In December of 2017, I graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Elementary Education and am currently still at Auburn pursuing my Master's in Education. My decision to major in this degree comes from my ambition to work with children and help them gain the skills necessary to be successful in life. In my time at Auburn, I have been involved in my sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, a non-profit mentor organization called Project Uplift, and various educational opportunities. Each of these experiences has allowed me to become an encouraging leader, develop professional skills, and share my knowledge with others through valuable interests. Coming to Auburn from Texas, the sense of community, otherwise known as the Auburn Family, has allowed me to expand my skills and jump out of my comfort zone to try new things.
Transferring to from the College of Liberal Arts to the College of Education after the first semester of my freshman year, I have immersed myself in the multitude of opportunities that Auburn has to offer. The past four and a half years at Auburn has impacted my knowledge, passion for service, and desire to make an important impact grow tremendously. Each organization, volunteer opportunity, and work experience that I have participated in pushed me more towards realizing my calling as an educator. Working with students of all ages, I have been able to see the different sides of teaching and how age affects behavior, which has only made me more confident in my decision to pursue a degree in Elementary Education.
During my time at Auburn, I have discovered and defined my enthusiasms and passions as a future educator through my teaching experiences, extra-curricular opportunities, and memories. Please continue to look around my site to learn more about these activities!
